PREVIEW TIME!

I’m not going to be the annoying fag licker this time round and stop anyone (that’s YOU!) from using the textures before the pack is completed. So, feel free to Right Click > Save Image As and use it freely!

So far I have edited a number of blocks, such as all the ores, TNT & wool to name a few! I have decided to give all the wool golden gilding! BUT WAIT, Gilding not your thing? I have also included some regular woollen textures for your pleasure and enjoyment (just make sure you wash them afterwards). There’s also a gilding PNG in the texture file if you so desire to add gilding to anything else!

So! Feel free to enjoy the textures now, I’ll continue working on them and shit today and hopefully next week also.

Any comments are greatly appreciated! Please leave me feedback on Facebook, Twitter (Guesty_) or anything else that you can use to get in contact with me (just don’t phone my mobile, that’s where it starts to get a LITTLE BIT creepy. )

The base ore and stone textures were kindly donated (stolen from with permission) by THIS KIND CHAP RIGHT HERE over on deviantArt, so thanks to him and the Painterly Pack for those! (He used Painterly as a base, so it’s sort of a double bass thing).

After the inevitable fail of my original Guesty_ texture pack, I have decided to start work on a second! All because I’m a persistent bastard who won’t back down until SOMEONE USES IT UGH

Work was started yesterday (14th April) and I have worked today on it a fair bit so things are coming together nicely!

UPDATE TIIIME

Yes that’s right my little poppits! Another swazzy update for you all to endulge in! All nonehundred of you!

I’ve been working on the item icons today, and so far I have managed to edit the following:

Wooden Pickaxe
Stone Pickaxe
Iron Pickaxe
Diamond Pickaxe
Gold Pickaxe
Coal
Arrows
Brick
Iron Bar
Gold Bar
Diamonds
Gunpowder
Redstone Dust
Empty Bucket
Bucket of Water
Bucket of Lava
and finally the Bucket of Milk

To be completely honest with you all (0). I absolutely DETEST my bucket sprites. However, they are there as place holders (like many things) and will remain there until I find a better design for them.

The pickaxes I don’t like much either, not too fond of the massive 90 degree angle they’ve got going on and stuff, so I’ll be changing that.

I love my bow sprite, and I almost love my arrow sprite! I also made a start on leather armor, but it looks more like wooden armor, so I took a break from armor (forever). They will be done in due course but I can’t think of a decent enough design for them right now.

I absolutely ADORE my gunpowder/redstone dust sprites! They actually look like piles now, instead of point rocks, which is a good thing! Also brightstone dust will have a similar shape (same thing but hue’d to yellow).

So that’s it for now my flutter dovlings, chat soon!

So I’ve been hard at work the past two days (a bit), so I’ve not really had much of a chance to get stuck in with the texture pack. I was going to do lots of it today but my friend arrived AND DELAYED IT DAMN HIM TO HELL or something like that.

Either way, I have edited a few things this evening that I would oh so love to share with the 0 people that read this blog!

Screenshot 1: Cobblestone rework
I reworked the cobblestone to loop better as a whole, as blocks were getting cut in half when they reached the edge of the block. So now we have smaller cobbles! I will redo the mossy cobblestone at a later date!

Updated Pumpkin texture! Hooray! :D

Screenshot 3: Hellsand
The hellsand texture is now a murky brown colour with three adorable little faces that look like they’re in a lot of pain! I may rework these in the future, but they’ll do for now.

Screenshot 4: Brightstone
Brightstone texture! Hooray! I will be definitelly be reworking this texture at a later date, but I like it. And I hope you guys do too.

Screenshot 5: Brimstone & Bloodstone Church
I took a screenshot from the inside of Bloodstone Church, which is a church which I have made entirely out of brimstone and obsidian. At the back there is an alter of flames, if you sink down to the bottom of the alter you get to my portal room, which I think is a pretty sweet feature!

I have also updated the to-do list!

Yes everything in the above list is URGENT, meaning I WISH TO DO THESE AS FAST AS POSSIBLE!

Good news:
The good news is that I have revamped the blog! And I’m also still working hard on the texture pack.

Bad news:
The bad news however is that, sadly for you guys, I won’t be updating or working on anything until I GET THIS GOD DAMN COURSEWORK FINISHED FOR UNIVERSITY ARG

But I should have it all done by the weekend-ish. Soo hold tight until then!

So here’s you god damn update folks! I’ve updated a few textures:

SmoothStone, HalfBlockTop, Bedrock, Obsidian, Reeds(bamboo), Hellsand
Gold, Iron, Coal, Diamonds, Redstone, Brightstone.

So there you have it! One day’s work of fiddling with 16 x 16 images to make them look right in-game. I’ve made a start on updating the HUD, but that won’t be done for some time yet I think. Either way, ~~I’ll post a screenshot of it in the next update to keep you little buggers on your toes!~~ Ah what the hell! Have an updated preview image with both things in!

Almost done now but still a fair bit to do (if you know what I mean).

Okay so I’ve been busy with my texture pack (as usual) since my last post a few hours back. It’s gone midnight so this can be the update for the 15th November!

I’m oh so very close to finishing the base textures now! I will post some screenshots of it tomorrow as Minecraft is (weirdly) giving me hell (again).

I am oh so proud of my cobblestone texture! Along with many others such as the mossy cobblestone and the ores. They’re definitely there to stay! still not too sure about the smooth stone, cactus, obsidian, half block top, brimstone, wood or ladder textures but they’re on my list of things to do!

Next in the news! A TO DO LIST!

Okay, so with today’s update I bring you a couple of reworks. I’ve totally redone the smooth stone, as I didn’t like it at all. Now it looks more like what the cobble stone should look like, but I’m going to try and come up with a more ‘old London street’ look for the cobble. Some inspiration has come from the Dusty Texture Pack which can be found at HERE. I’ve also reworked the grass totally and completely. I relieved some feedback from a friend so I added a fair bit of detail to the grass, hopefully now it will match the style of the workbench and chests.

So I’ve been hard at work over the past two days, working on my custom Minecraft texture pack. It’s almost almost done! Just a few more block textures to finish and then I will do carts, boats, the sun, the moon and mobs etc. So look out for those! I will be posting screenshots on this blog, so keep an eye out for them!

Picture one: Coal, Wood, Sand, Gold, Bedrock, Dirt-grass, Iron, Gravel and Dirt.
Picture two: Diamond, Bookshelf, N/A, Obsidian, Bricks, Glass, Mossy, CBStone, Halfblock, double block.
